A need for financial literacy
Utilizing this system in a classroom for the last three years, fellow teachers and principals have seen the change in students' behaviour and motivation. Students are eager to earn credits as they complete tasks or demonstrate positive behavior. These credits can then be redeemed for in-class rewards or extensions on assignments.
Student Credits has been in development for the last three years, perfecting the functionality and design of the application to make it easy for educators to implement in their classrooms. Currently only available for Android, but it will be available for iOS in the near future if the demand for it is high.

At the same time I noticed a lack of financial literacy tools in elementary classrooms. In partnership with my husband, a software engineer, we developed a credit-based system for educators to foster financial literacy in their classrooms."

From daily credits to taxes, interest, and automatic paydays — Student Credits grows with your classroom.
Credit based system
Reward students for completing tasks or demonstrating positive behavior. You may also remove credits for negative behavior or failure to hand in assignments in a timely manner.
Financial literacy
Teach students the fundamentals of financial literacy, such as how to earn income and the value in saving money. Students learn to manage their finances and make smarter decisions about their spending habits.
Taxes and savings accounts
ProStudents can earn interest on their credits and also be taxed at the rates the educator sets.
Pay students automatically
ProStudents can earn a salary that is paid automatically, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
NFC card support
If you have NFC cards, assign them to students. Students can tap their card to pay for items they purchase, just like a credit card.
Jobs and careers
Have students apply for different jobs, just like the real world, and pay them for their work. Your classroom a little messy? Students can clean up after themselves and earn credits for their efforts.
Invite parents
In developmentWhen released, parents will be able to monitor their child's (or children's) progress. There is no communication between educator and parent via the app or website.
